So my baby's mother wanted to move, about 5 hours away, i got an injunction. She wanted it lifted so she could go to school. Well after i built my case (saved text messages voice mails) i had a good case. my lawyer put her on the stand and then proceeded to tear her apart, over and over and over again. catching her in ever lie she said and every flaw she had, it was great! It ended with me not even having to testify the judge stopped my lawyer mid sentence and said I'm ready to rule when you stop. my lawyer sat down immediately, and the judge ruled that if she leaves the state then i get my son permanently and she will get visitation! my lawyer went on to tell me that i would more then likely end up with full custody. I'm so happy.....
TIPS WHEN BUILDING A CASE
When you receive a text message e-mail it to yourself immediately keep ones that are particularly incriminating so you can prove those were sent beyond a shadow of a doubt, but a good lawyer and argue and usually get them to admit to sending the texts
Save voice mails, you never know when something she said will conflict with a voicemail, then that will work to your advantage.
send your own texts messages to your e-mail as well, its an extra step and its annoying but then you can prove what you said showing that you didn't deserve it, or she wasn't simply retaliating to something you said.
